Stabilize, Equalize & Regenerate
      By Tennessee Elijah

Many times during our lives as children of God, there are days when trouble comes. We find ourselves feeling sad, nervous, confused, sick or hopeless in various situations. Conventional remedies for difficult bodily experiences will sometimes make things worse instead of better -- unless we take control of our health problems in a good way.

The first thing we need to remember when feeling desperate is to pause for prayer during secret communion with God. Words that we use might be something like:
"Dear Jesus, you know what I'm going through right now, and you know how bad I feel. You have given me certain talents and powers that have not been used wisely. Please forgive my mistakes, and open up my mind to thoughts needed to correct what has gone wrong in my life."

Once we have reestablished our "link" with the Mind of our Master,
we need to prioritize a period of time for the purpose of following
SER procedures (Stabilize, Equalize & Regenerate). We will need friendly cooperation and understanding from people around us as we avoid all unnecessary stimuli -- such as music, radio, television, conversations, etc. Isolation from a normal routine is vital if we are to succeed in making ourselves whole again.

Among the many reasons why we might be inclined to engage in these spiritual and physical procedures might be our feelings of nervousness, sickness, depression, sadness over a personal loss, disappointment -- or even anger for reasons that are hard to explain. We might simply feel helpless and unable to cope any longer. When this happens, we must learn how to become
strong in weakness! We must become wise enough to not allow ourselves to foolishly believe we can fight every battle without help from God.

After prayer has started us on the path back to recovery, we need to focus attention on doing what is necessary to
"stabilize." We define it this way: To calm down, relax, to seek a balance, brace ourselves, to make firm our emotions, to preserve serenity, maintain tranquility, stiffen our resolve and prepare ourselves to "equalize." We might decide to take a quiet walk through a country park, soak in a tub of
hot water with the shower turned on, touch our toes ten times -- or
let someone give us a full-body massage. There are many things we
can do to relax.

SER procedures can enhance
the quality and length of our lives!

During this three-step approach to renewing ourselves, we need to talk to our body, letting the soul dominate as we give instructions such as: "Calm down, stabilize and be at peace." Maybe we will want to form mental images of ourselves when we were younger and more energetic? Maybe we will make attempts to replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts? As we use common sense to overcome conflicting thoughts, we need to instruct our body to
"equalize." This process will cause us to readjust internal chemistry affecting vital organs -- which have not been receptive to signals being sent out of our soul.

It's important that we understand this Truth:
When flesh rules, the body dies! Only souls dominated
by the Holy Spirit should be allowed to rule flesh!

Depending upon circumstances and desires, SER procedures can be used effectively during a few hours, a few days, a few weeks or for a lifetime. If our personal schedule and self-discipline permits, we need to be thinking in terms of "input" and "output." What goes into bodies and souls -- and what comes out are crucial factors relating to all of our circumstances in Life.

Fasting to cleanse our bodies of imbalances is essential if we expect
to accomplish our healing objectives. We might start a fast by eating a large bowl of oatmeal cereal containing a small box of raisins. We might follow that with one or two glasses of prune juice a few hours later -- and then water. The length of our fast might be one day, three days
or more, depending upon our physical condition.

As we deny the flesh, we will be turning the "will" of the flesh over to the soul. The "Holy Spirit" within a soul that is subservient to God will be given freedom to subdue the flesh, equalize the body with the soul, and then begin the process of regeneration.

God has power to change us, to fill us with exhilaration, to reawaken, invigorate, to rejuvenate and revive every aspect of our lives! Naturally,
if we lack faith in His ability to do this, and if we refuse to change lifestyles according to His purposes for us,
SER procedures will bring only temporary benefits. To substantiate these principles we have been considering, spend time reading the Bible. The following scriptures are
a good place to start:

"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with
all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:
this is the first commandment."
Matthew 12:30

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the
Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye
asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive,
that your joy may be full."
John 16:23&24

"And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils:
freely ye have received, freely give."
Matthew 10:7&8

"For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful,
and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of
God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of
righteousness which we have done, but according to
his mercy he saved us, by the washing of...

...regeneration,

and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

Titus 3:3-7
